Energia Calabria has taken steps to launch various initiatives connected with the use of BIM and eco-buildings.
In particular,”Energy and Water Festival 2018″ was also held at Rende (March 2018) during which the themes of the ToB3 Project were also discussed.
All these activities have had great importance in the local and sector press, as well as promotional and informative passages on local television.

The 04.02.2019 there was a Seminar inauguration of the Master’s Degree “Domenico Grimaldi” – BIM MANAGER AND ECO-SUSTAINABLE BUILDINGS-
BUILDING 4.0. – at the University of Calabria.
Energia Calabria is an important partner in the organization of the Master and Nicola De Nardi is in the Scientific Council of the Master , open to 25 young and less young colleagues who are following highly professional teaching activities.
Energia Calabria has involved in the master partnership the Institute for BIM in Italy – www.ibimi.it- , with the participation to the master training with many important teachers who also work with Energia Calabria.
Among the activities to be promoted within the project, Energia Calabria is focusing on training and dissemination also with the help of the collaboration with IBIMI, in the person of the president Eng Anna Moreno, also for the Building Smart International certification,because IBIMI is Italian Chapter of Smart Buildings .
As regards contributions and benefits to the BIM Game Project, I believe it is useful to envisage activities at the University of Cosenza, to test the Platform with the participants of the Master.
HYPOTHESIS OF SOLUTION
The introduction of BIM as a legal requirement in the presentation of projects (public or private) allows to Public Authorities to detect the building ONLY ONCE and to return it in a digital format in which all the information regarding its realization are inserted: materials used , architectural details, construction system, costs, life cycle, sizing checks, etc.
A SINGLE LANGUAGE, COMMON TO ALL THE ACTORS, CONTAINING ALL THE INFORMATION NECESSARY FOR THE REALIZATION OF THE PROJECT IN THE IMMEDIATE BUT ALSO TO THE EXECUTION OF ALL THE SUCCESSIVE CHECKS.
The use of a single tool that allows to fulfill all the legal obligations around the construction of a building and that also functions as a database of all information concerning the building itself, would make the approach to design, in particular to the successive interventions on the existing, much simpler, starting from a photograph of the real much more truthful.
To achieve the purpose, the first indispensable step is training: the introduction of BIM, not as a product of a software house compared to another, but as a basic concept for the design of a building, taught from the beginning in the study courses in which the building is located at the center of teaching. Learning information sharing, planning on different levels of the project, returning a project loaded with information that goes from the most minute constructive detail to the sizing of the structural element, will allow, for future generations of designers, to overcome the limits of current approach to BIM, making the hope of a general use of BIM in construction, in all member states, a reality. As far as Italy is concerned, the Energia Calabria Association, also thanks to the fervent collaboration with the IBIMI Institute, chaired by Eng. Anna Moreno, is organizing advanced training courses both at the Cosenza Order of Engineers and at the Master the University of Calabria, on the BIM. This activity aims to complete the path of young professionals .
